There are different classifications that define the level of an armored vehicle according to the region in which you are located, for example: the NIJ (National Institute of Justice) of the United States classifies ballistic resistance at levels of II, III-A, III, IV . In Europe, they are defined according to the CEN (European Standardization Council) as B-1 through B-7. In Mexico, NOM 142SCFI classifies it with letters ranging from A to E.
These classifications can be confusing to the end user, so the only important thing to know is the ballistic resistance of the materials. This refers to the qualification that a certified ballistic laboratory gives them, while defining their level of protection.
